Jonsered chainsaw history: dated facts from a 1969 patent filing, Swedish museum records and Husqvarna's timeline

Dated facts about Jonsered chainsaws from 1969 to 1990, drawn from a safety patent filed by Jonsereds Fabriker, five Swedish museum and design archive catalogue records, and the account of the later owner Husqvarna.

Checked against the sources at the bottom of this page on October 9, 2026. Rules, fees and pay change: the source has the last word.

This page reports what the official source says. It is not legal advice: ask the office named here. It sets a patent record and museum catalogue records beside one maker's own account, and nothing here ranks one maker against another. The Husqvarna timeline is a maker's account, so its claim is attributed to Husqvarna.
