Tree work words: job titles by country and visa terms

Job titles, occupation codes and work-visa terms as O*NET, Canada's NOC, the UK National Careers Service, Tahatu, the ABS, GOV.UK and the US Department of Labor print them.

Checked against the sources at the bottom of this page on October 9, 2026. Rules, fees and pay change: the source has the last word.

This page reports what the official source says. It is not legal advice: ask the office named here. Job titles for tree work differ by country, and so do the occupation codes that visa and statistics offices attach to them. This page gives each title or code as the named government page prints it. It does not say which title, code or visa applies to any person.

Every meaning is in our own words from the page named in its row. A word those pages do not define is not listed. For where the visa terms fit into a move abroad, see working abroad as a tree worker. The wider A to Z list is the tree work glossary.
