About the job
Sundog Line Services clears trees from power lines for utilities across southern Alberta. Crews work out of Calgary and travel during the week when the contract calls for it.
What you'll do
- Prune and remove trees near power lines, by climbing and from a bucket truck
- Work in a crew of two or three under a certified utility arborist
- Keep the daily record of the spans cleared
What you need
- Utility arborist certification, or the will to train for it on the job
- Two or more years of climbing is a plus, not a must
- A Class 5 driver's licence. Class 3 with air brakes is a plus
What you get
- CA$36 an hour
- Paid training toward utility arborist certification
- A living-out allowance when the crew travels
