Midwestern Chapter Tree Climbing Championship: organiser, place, schedule, events and insurance note
The Midwestern Chapter championship at Kirkwood Park, Missouri: the 2027 schedule as the chapter prints it, the five preliminary events and the Masters Challenge as its agenda describes them, and the event insurance note.
Checked against the sources at the bottom of this page on October 9, 2026. Rules, fees and pay change: the source has the last word.
This page reports what the Midwestern Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (MW-ISA) says on its championship page, its 2026 agenda, its insurance form and its sponsorship page. The chapter's member states are Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma. This page reports what the official source says. It is not legal advice: ask the office named here. The national and regional events are in the table of championships.
Where and when
The championship page puts the 2027 event at Kirkwood Park in Kirkwood, Missouri, on June 4 to 6, 2027. The 2026 edition was held at the same park on June 5 to 7, 2026. The 2026 agenda gives the park address as 111 S Geyer Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122. The agenda file also carries 2025 dates on its day headings, so the dates here come from the championship page.

The events as the agenda describes them
The 2026 agenda names five preliminary events and the Masters Challenge. It gives the throw line as a timed event with eight targets at heights up to 60 feet, each worth a different score, and the belayed speed climb as a route of about 60 feet with the bells rung in order where there are several. The ascent bell may be set from 12 to 25 metres, and only the set-up, ascent and change to a descent system are timed. The work climb has five workstations, and the aerial rescue is a timed event that gives the competitor a scenario to assess. The agenda says the 2026 Masters Challenge was set up with just three stations, with the throw line the most valuable part of the score.
Insurance note
The chapter's 2026 insurance acknowledgement form says people who compete or volunteer under ISA insurance are covered by the ISA Climbers Event Policy, including set-up and tear-down. It states US$50,000 of excess medical benefit, says this is not meant as primary medical insurance, and says coverage only applies when the claimant has signed the release form. This page does not interpret the policy.
Sponsors and vendors
The chapter's sponsorship page lists five championship sponsorship levels: a champions sponsor, a T-shirt sponsor, an individual event sponsor, a lunch sponsor and a Friday evening check-in pizza social sponsor. The championship page adds that vendors get an outdoor 10 by 10 space and that a climber donation is also requested to secure a vendor space. Prices are on the chapter sponsorship page.
Results
The championship page links the chapter's own results files back to 2012, and the 2026 edition's scoring results. This page names no climbers. See the MW-ISA championship page for the files.
