This page sets out what three records say about one recall: the C.A.M.P. Nimbus Lock carabiner, recalled in the United States and Canada on August 28, 2025. The records are the CPSC recall record, the Health Canada notice and the maker's recall page. The wider list is in the guide to climbing gear recalls and safety notices. The notices linked below are the record, and each is restated here in our own words.
The fault as the notices describe it
All three records give the same fault: the automatic closing mechanism of the gate can break and stop the gate closing. The CPSC and the maker name the result as a risk of serious injury or death from falling, and Health Canada words it the same way. The maker's FAQ describes the failure as the spring mechanism that closes the gate. The maker's notice says the reports it received were limited to batch number 10 23 and later.
Which carabiners
The carabiners were sold in gun metal with green, fuchsia or blue, singly or as part of four kits: the Nimbus Lock 3 Pack, the Locker Draw KS, the Energy CR3 Pack and the Energy Nova Pack. Only the carabiner in each kit is covered. The batch number is on the side of the bottom of the carabiner, on the side with the strength markings and no brand logo. The records list the batch numbers differently:
- CPSC and the maker's page: 10 23, 12 23, 02 24, 09 24, 10 24, 12 24, 01 25, 02 25 and 06 25.
- Health Canada: the same list with 11 23 added after 10 23.
The maker's page also gives reference numbers: 2927, 292702 and 292703 for the three single colors, 3434 for the 3 Pack, 3436 for the Locker Draw KS, 2961 for the Energy CR3 Pack and 2962 for the Energy Nova Pack.

Remedy
The CPSC and Health Canada give one route: stop using the carabiner, fill in the maker's online recall form, print a prepaid return label and send the carabiner back. The maker inspects each returned unit and ships it back if it passes. A unit that fails is replaced free of charge. The CPSC lists the remedy type as repair. The maker's page calls the action a recall for inspection and says it was running a 100 percent inspection of stock held by its subsidiaries and distributors worldwide. Its FAQ adds that no injuries had been reported. The maker's page is the C.A.M.P. Nimbus Lock recall page.
