Climbing gear recall notice: Ocun CONDOR HMS Triple carabiner

What the CPSC, Health Canada, the UK product safety list and the maker say about the 2026 recall of the Ocun CONDOR HMS Triple carabiner: batches, units, reports and remedy.

Checked against the sources at the bottom of this page on October 8, 2026. Rules, fees and pay change: the source has the last word.

This page sets out what four official and maker records say about one recall: the Ocun CONDOR HMS Triple carabiner, article number 03550, recalled in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom in 2026. The wider list is in the guide to climbing gear recalls and safety notices. The notices linked below are the record.

The fault as the notices describe it

The CPSC record and the Health Canada notice say the carabiner's gate can malfunction so that it does not close automatically and has to be closed by hand. They name the result as a risk of serious injury or death from a fall. The UK notice, issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards and rated "Serious", words the hazard the same way. It adds that the gate not closing creates a risk of unintended detachment during use, and that the product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment.

Which carabiners

The carabiners are dark gray and blue, with an independent internal wire gate for belaying and rappelling and a triple locking action gate. The affected batch numbers are 24003xx, 24004xx, 24010xx, 24023xx, 24024xx, 24025xx, 25005xx and 25006xx, found on the spine of the carabiner. The maker's page says the affected units were made and delivered between November 20, 2023 and November 28, 2025. It lists three other products that include the carabiner in belay sets, article numbers 04106, 04716 and 04717. It says units made before November 20, 2023, units made after January 1, 2026, any batch not listed, and any unit marked with an asterisk are not part of the recall, because marked units were analyzed and found safe to use.

Remedy

The US and Canadian notices give a free replacement. Owners fill out the recall form and follow the instructions to get a prepaid return label. The UK notice points owners to the named firm's recall form for a replacement. The maker's page gives separate routes for customers in the European Union, where a dealer or a direct return is offered, and for the United States and Canada. It is dated January 2026, which is earlier than the US notice. The maker's recall list on its service page shows the entry dated January 20, 2026. For the maker's own wording, see the Ocun recall page for the CONDOR HMS Triple.
